Florida has special designated high wind areas and they are defined as HVHZ (High Velocity Hurricane Zone) and Non-HVHZ. Florida’s most well-known HVHZ area is BROWARD & DADE Counties and uses a Miami-Dade Co Report known as an N.O.A (Notice of Acceptance) report for products installed in HVHZ areas of Florida. Metro has the following Florida Wind Design approvals:
FLORIDA Non-HVHZ — Building Code Approval #FL-6710-R4
FLORIDA HVHZ — Miami-Dade Co., N.O.A.-#11-0808.08
